When he got his first professional job, he committed himself to comporting his lifestyle appropriately and being drug-free. He was completely candid about his past drug use on his security clearance application and during the ensuing investigation. Now 24 years of age, he has not used drugs in nearly two years, and he was professionally determined to not be dependent on drugs or alcohol. Given his age, lifestyle changes, and demonstrated commitment, Applicant mitigated financial considerations security concerns. Clearance is granted.
