Applicant’s wife’s family, his mother, and five of his eight siblings are resident citizens of Iraq. None of his in-laws, immediate family members, or their spouses are associated with or employed by the Iraqi government. From 2005 to 2007, he served as a linguist in support of the U.S. armed forces in Iraq. He qualified for a special immigrant visa after he was followed and numerous threats were made to his life. Taking into account the evidence presented, Applicant has demonstrated that his family members in Iraq do not pose an unacceptable security risk. Clearance is granted.
